A sweet addition to DP's list of Texas rancher-oilman-business men. Ward Jessup thinks no woman is worth much of his time or his life! Marianne Raymond visits her aunt Lillian, Ward's housekeeper and cook, with no intentions of getting involved with a woman-hater; and, vocalizes her opinions of a clearly strict belief in marriage. Sparks fly with witty exchanges between the passionate pair! Things run amuck until a near tragedy occurs. Will Ward finally see the real love blooming in front of him?

This is a nice story of love. Ward and Mari fall in love, however Ward believes that he does not want marriage. I recommend reading this book it will make you smile.

Ward and Mari's story was sweet! The H didn't do that much damage, unlike the other H's. I highly recommend this story, if you want some sugar. ^^
