I really liked this story. About a female detective that won't give up, and who has a "ghost" as a advisor of sorts. A story about serial killers. Disgusting, depraved, animals. Not a nice story, but it prepares you to be aware and trust no one.

The first book I didn't finish. Burning horses in a barn fire was a big pile of nope!for me. The second book was ok as well, interesting characters, I had a hard time remembering where I was when I would pick it up again. May have just been me, but I usually follow story lines better.

Interesting plot although a little more character development with regards to the heroine would have been nice. Explanations for her episodes of anxiety. Still....I enjoyed the read.
