a woman eight months along simply cannot avoid the impending realities of pregnancy and childbirth too bad her husband can claim being overwhelmed, or just claim his own space to deal with, or avoid, the changes. Worse when he winds up dead! Can Samantha help her friend through some intense and lethal drama? I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Major Life Changes and Strings of Pearls This is the sixth book in a series that should really be read in order. This is a clean mystery with no swearing, little blood, and PG-rated. If you have been reading the series you will find this book has a more sobering air to it. Many of the main characters are going through life changes that will affect future books. This episode has plenty of moving pieces and alternative theories of who did what. The final denouement is quite surprising. This author is very good at keeping the reader guessing along with the sleuth. I can't wait to see where this series goes next!

Our heroine finally is getting her own life together, only to have to come to the rescue of one of her friends who is having a less-than-stellar time. So much for rest and relaxation. This is book six of the series but it is written as a standalone. While you will be missing some of the background, all the essential bits are covered early on. This is a cozy mystery with a very fashion conscious detective as our heroine. That makes for a very interesting read. Fortunately, the story is well written, easy to read and lots of fun. The cast of characters is diverse and well developed with plenty of different personalities to keep this interesting. The plot moves along at a good pace and includes a nice blend of action and humor as well as a good mystery. All together it makes for a very entertaining read and I look forward to reading more in this series. Highly recommended. . I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout for review purposes.
