“Dictionary of defeats” is the second book of poems by Toni García Arias. In this poetry the author approach the classic subjects of the poetic world: The loss of childhood and youth, love, lack of love, memories, poems and the passing of time.
The book is presented as a dictionary, because the poems are ordered alphabetically: Absence, Body, Childhood, Distance, etc.

About the author

Toni García Arias is a teacher and a writer.
Regarding education he is the author of "Manual para superar la adolescencia; tratado de educación e inteligencia emocional para adolescentes” (Málaga, Ediciones Aljibe, 2013), “Educación Emocional para todos” (Madrid, LoQueNoExiste Editorial, 2016) y “Hacia una nueva educación” (Sevilla, Editorial MAD, 2016).
As a poet he has published three books of poems: "Todos los puertos" (Nausícaä, 2002); "Diccionario de derrotas" (Nausícaä, 2003) y "Ángeles caídos" (Fallen Angels) (Renacimiento, 2006). His articles and narratives have been published in national and international magazines and some of his poems have been used for selection tests in several Spanish and Latin-American universities.
He also writes articles in newspapers La Opinión de Murcia and Periodista Digital.
In 2010 he was given the First Prize of Culture of Concello de Cabanas in A Coruña.
