Pretty much lost me. There was not a lot of reacher during the first half. Then he and her are held prisoner, and when Holly kills a compound girl, it's never addressed. Then she and reacher bounced out to the forest to have sex and no one thought to follow them. I dunno...pouring through the 3/4 point was a slog. I just lost interest and didn't care if they were saved.

One portion of this book made me have a real life anxiety attack. I have 1 irrational fear and this book made me think I was right there with Reacher in the tunnel about to suffocate. I mean I was full on sweating and breathing hard. The way Child described the situation evoked a response that I have never had reading a book. I initially watched the movie then decided to read the books in order. The 1st one, Killing Floor, got me interested. This one got me hooked. I read every book in the series and short stories in less than a year. Story was a little far fetched but that just adds to the appeal.

A little too much detail at times... get distracted from story, like author is trying too hard. End of romantic relationship is so unrealistic it's dumb.
