About the author
Friedrich Rückert geboren 1788 in Schweinfurt, gilt als einer der größten Sprachgelehrten Deutschlands. Er übersetzte die gesamte ihm zugängliche poetische Literatur des Orients. Nach Lehrtätigkeiten in Erlangen und Berlin zog sich Rückert nach Coburg zurück, wo er 1866 verstarb.
