This was a fun and heartfelt second chance romance. Jack and Maddie have been friends since they were young kids. Something happens in their teens and suddenly they are no longer friends. An unexpected hook up when they when she was in her early twenties is wild and crazy. But then she becomes pregnant. Jack breaks her heart and she moves on. What I found most interesting about this story is Jack has a lot of growing up to do and until he does he will never be the father he needs to be. His past haunts him. Maddie just doesn't think she could ever trust him again. It took awhile but we do get a HEA in the end

4.5⭐ ✔️Steamy small-town romantic comedy. ✔️ Under one roof. ✔️ Second chance. ✔️ Accidental pregnancy back story ✔️ Steamy. I've read several of Serena's book now and this book didn't disappoint. Once I connected with the characters (3-4 chapters), I was thoroughly engaged. I thought this was a sweet and sexy book, and I cried! Says it all!

Do Over by Serena Bell is one beautifully poignant, hot, and wonderful second-chance story. It’s part of her Under-One-Roof romance series, and all stand alone. Jack Parker and Maddie Adams were childhood neighbors and friends. They’ve had off-the-charts chemistry forever but Jack’s history has not left him in a good place to commit to a relationship. Serena Bell’s characters are so well written and it is both completely heartening and wrenching at times to see them be honest and vulnerable and true to themselves and each other. Maddie and Jack’s path is not exactly straight but it is an incredible journey and one that ultimately leaves me joyfully all smiles.
