There are certain things that make a 3rd Doctor story proper. Then there are things that make it fantastic. We already know Mark Gatiss is a great writer, but it's when his role as Doctor Who fan comes into play that we really get a story to remember. The Last of the Gaderene is one of those stories that really is up there with the best of the 3rd Doctor stories. Jon Pertwee would have loved it.
