A novel with a lighter mood with a peculiar approach, Dogs of Mars takes its themes -for example, the 80s funk and the Cold War- for an essential display. In addition to it, the main themes have a decisive press on the outcome for the main cast, the X-Dogs, to the point it might be overlooked. I highly reccomend to keep a record of what is said in the story as it provides footing for the outcomes that can seem obfuscating or disproportionate Another theme I pieced in Dogs of Mars would be "what defines a human?" The characters have traits unique to each other along with a few relevant absent traits. This puts into question if all and each "human" trait is absolutely necessary, even a few of the X-Dogs question this issue. To me, Dogs of Mars can be a approached as a light-hearted fun book, as a more critical narration if you read between the lines and even dark through a deep exploration of the context surrounding this vast fictional space. Reccomended to read more than once, for fun!

This book is absolutely thrilling. Just like the last book, this book is packed to the tips of its pages with storyline and emotion for those who's looking for a shocking experience, in the good way. Characters with great and different personalities, beautiful imagery to the mind, and a thrilling plot, one who's tastes for a good book would read this work of art, and learn to look overhead what it shows on the outside and look at whats inside its pages, before screaming "tHis suCks iT haS fuRriEs!!!".

A fantastic read full of great, nuanced characters, a captivating world, engrossing action and a very sweet balance between humour and drama! Dogs of Mars is a beast of a book for sure, but i thoroughly enjoyed it all the way until the end! The story had good pacing, although the few time-skips it jumps through were a tad hard to follow, but only for a bit, and not to mention all the great plot points throughout! From lighthearted fun to grippingly serious, DoM always managed to keep my attention. The characters were a great driving force for the story too, each of them getting their own spotlight at least once and most of them getting explored deeply too! They truly grew on me the more i read and i really fell in love with almost all of them, following their highs and lows. The world the author builds at first took me a while to wrap my head around, but it honestly sucked me in and still fascinates me with all the technological advancements and space travel/life. It all is a true testament to Adam Browne's writing skills, highly recommend it if you want a book to really sink your teeth in.
