My physician recommended I try the ketogenic diet (below 20g carbohydrates per day) which is a high fat moderate protein minimal carb diet for my weight loss goals. I started 3 weeks ago and have lost 23 lbs and 4 inches on my waist. This book really helps with knowing what you can and can't eat. Ketogenic is equal to staying in induction phase of atkins until you reach the weight you desire teaching your body to burn fat stores for energy instead of sugar/carbs.

I am looking forward to doing the Atkins diet correctly this time. I tried Atkins many years ago and lost 30lbs but went back to my old eating habits and gained it all back and even more. I should have moved into OWL rather than quit.
