This book describes the life story of myself, Dr. Malay Kumar Sengupta, from childhood up to retirement from service life, in simple Bengali language, and is illustrated with many interesting photographs. It describes the situation in the country, as well the then U.S.S.R in lucid language.

About the author

An accomplished technocrat, Dr Sengupta holds a Ph.D. in Optics from Calcutta University. He was a pioneer in the field of Opthalmic Glass in India, having received training in Soviet Russia in the 1960s and returned to work in the newly setup Bharat Opthalmic Glass, Durgapur, retiring as Managing Director in 1988.
