This book describes the life story of myself, Dr. Malay Kumar Sengupta, from childhood up to retirement from service life, in simple Bengali language, and is illustrated with many interesting photographs. It describes the situation in the country, as well the then U.S.S.R in lucid language.

The book is very interesting. All the mistakes,errors and displacements are rectified now,and it is really pleasent reading.

Amazing life experiences and also lot of valuable information about working life in India and Russia in the 50s and 60s

About the author

An accomplished technocrat, Dr Sengupta holds a Ph.D. in Optics from Calcutta University. He was a pioneer in the field of Opthalmic Glass in India, having received training in Soviet Russia in the 1960s and returned to work in the newly setup Bharat Opthalmic Glass, Durgapur, retiring as Managing Director in 1988.
