The Haunted Theater was a place that everyone in town knew to avoid. The old building sat abandoned on the edge of Main Street, its faded marquee spelling out the names of shows long forgotten. The weathered sign creaked eerily in the wind, sending a chill down the spine of anyone who dared pass by. For years, rumors had swirled about strange noises coming from inside the Theater late at night, and shadowy figures glimpsed through the dusty windows. Some claimed to hear the faint sound of applause or a disembodied voice calling for the curtain to rise. Others spoke of objects moving on their own and an overwhelming feeling of dread.

One stormy night, a group of friends decided to put the rumors to the test and explore the haunted Theater. They were six teenagers, eager for a thrill and a good scare.

"This is going to be so much fun!" Jenna exclaimed, pulling her hood up against the driving rain. "I can't wait to see what's inside."

"Are you kidding? This place gives me the creeps," Marcus replied, eyeing the decrepit building warily. "We should just go home."

The others ignored his protests as they parked their cars outside, huddling under umbrellas as they made their way to the creaking entrance.

"Did you hear that?" Stacey whispered, pausing with her hand on the door handle. A faint sound, like someone calling a name, seemed to emanate from within.
