About this eBook

A little dragon tenderness goes a long way in the “hot, hot” fantasy series from the New York Times bestselling author of the Scarred Earth Saga (Library Journal).

I am Ghleanna the Decimator. I am a warrior. A soldier. I know no fear. No pain. No mercy. I do, however, know acute embarrassment! How could I not after getting dumped by a bastard dragon in front of my own troops? So I tuck tail and return to my cave, drowning my sorrows in ale—as is my family’s way. But instead of leaving me to my misery, I’ve been summoned to the Dragon Queen’s court.

As if my life wasn’t pathetic enough, Her Majesty now has me escorting the highborn Bram the Merciful through dangerous territories—not exactly the best use of my military training. And just so he can negotiate with enemy dragons instead of battling them? Honestly, what has my world come to? Then again . . . Bram is quite easy on the eyes. And the perfect distraction for what ails me. Perhaps I’m looking at all this the wrong way. Maybe there is a place for a little “mercy” in my life . . .

As if her life wasn’t pathetic enough, Glheanna the Decimator has been ordered to escort highborn Bram the Merciful through dangerous territories just so he can negotiate instead of battle in this captivatingly witty paranormal romance. Fireworks and witty repertoire keeps readers on their toes as Glheanna escorts Bram on his mission and discovers that just maybe there is a place in her life for a little “mercy.” The chemistry between Glheanna and Bram is smokin’ and the relationship is explosive but sweet as these strong compelling characters negotiate through their differences which is quite a bit being as they are mostly opposite in personalities although Bram does have some qualities that he keeps hidden until it is necessary to reveal them. The fast paced and smooth flowing plot captivates readers with lots of suspense, excitement, humor and romance with the dialogue and temperaments of these dragons amusing the heck out of everyone while traitors out to thwart Bram’s mission adds danger and excitement and brings readers under the ocean to visit with the sea dragons (you might want to navigate their world very carefully). The Dragon Kin are the most vicious loving dragons in existence and every moment spent in their fascinating world is fun and volatile at the same time. I just love these snarky, arrogant and brutal characters and Glheanna and Bram’s story amused and abused me with lots of laughter throughout their story so there was never a dull moment and therefore no way that I could put it down and I just can’t wait to visit the Dragon Kin again.

I've read 4 of the books now. I dont think i will read another. The women characters in ur books are all the same. Women who go into "rages " and kill everyone. The rage thing has become uninteresting and boring . Too bad it wasn't changed up a bit in the other books.

Bram and Glheanna (I love her name btw) are one of G.A. Aikens most underrated dragon couples. This tale of longing, self discovery, and unconditional love and acceptance rates high on my list of must have books. Absolutely adored their story.
