Firstly, there's absolutely nothing inappropriate in this book, so I'm baffled as to what the review alluding to that is talking about. That being said, the writing is a bit wooden, especially at the beginning, and it takes a while to really get going. I've read a lot of fantasy novels that were much worse, but I've also read better. So I would consider this a very middle-of-the-road entry; if you really love Dragonlance and the world it takes place in, check it out.

Other than a few glaring plotholes, the book was a great read! It's so nice to return to Krynn, as it was book two of the sextet that explained where everyone was before the reunion, that got me into reading books, in the first place. So, Dragonlance, overall, holds a special place in my heart; and so far, the new trilogy doesn't disappoint!

I'm sorry but I wasn't able to get through the first few chapters. I'll prefence that I love the main books of the series. In this excerpt from the first chapter of the book really bothered me: Destina was in her bedchamber, admiring the new gown that she would wear tonight at the celebration dinner. The dress was white velvet, as became a maiden, trimmed with a rose motif stitched in crimson. The gown’s bodice was tight-fitting and settled over her curves like cream, coming to a point at the waist then flaring out into a long, flowing skirt. The point of view character, Destina, in this chapter is just turning 15 years old. A 15 year old doesnt need to have discriptioms of maindenhood and being curvey. There is no reason to have it and it totally ruined my interest. Would rank it less than 1 star if I was able to.
