About this ebook

Rather amazingly, James Madison foresaw many of the problems we face in America today. He foresaw our modern obsession with individual rights, the dangers of judicial activism, the problems of a war presidency, and the economic difficulties that can bring a nation to ruin. Most importantly, as America's preeminent political visionary, he also saw how these problems can be solved.

A good portion of this book is dedicated to arguing that today's Supreme Court justices are rogue activist judges and that Madison's preferences for constitutional process would have stopped the Roe v Wade decision. Very disinegenuous. This is obvious conservative pro-life propaganda and the book is heavily tainted as a history. I would add that it provides a bad and silly argument by referencing the British law that banned abortion after fetal motion was observed as only evidence of life. The author indicates that the law was protecting life when it was evident, and that such evidence of life to prohibit abortion in the modern world would include our ability to detect a heartbeat after only 3 weeks. This is absurd, because he is saying that the law allows abortions until the point when there is proof of a pregnancy. Hence the obvious question: what is being aborted before such proof if not a preganancy? Just another man wanting to impose religious doctrine.
