A Heart-tugging, Super Steamy Second Chance Romance I normally don’t like to read books from a series out of order, even when they are standalones. However, the blurb for “Again with You” by E.H. Lyon spoke to me, so I kicked my little O.C.D. tendencies to the curb and settled in for what I hoped would be a super-hot, entertaining read. What I got was so much more. The author painted a portrait that was filled with – yes – off-the-charts sexual chemistry between the hero and heroine, but also genuine emotion. As I followed the road to a long-overdue HEA for Jake and Avery, I ran the gamut right along with them – the touching moments, the shock and surprise, the heartache and vulnerability, the humor, and the joy. It really was a whirlwind even for the reader! Jake, an attorney, is just dominant enough to be incredibly sexy without being an over-the-top alpha while bakery owner Avery is as sweet and beautiful as she is loving and giving. And despite its place as the fourth installment in the Matchbox series lineup, it truly can be enjoyed as a standalone. The familiar characters from the earlier books add depth to the storyline, and they are wonderful people that I want to get to know! I’m now scrambling to get Books 1-3 so I can be ready for the fifth and final one when it comes out!

Jake and Avery had a history but when they met again it was as if time fell away às the same chemistry and attraction was still there. But as fierce as the attraction was they had to talk about what happened and lead to her leaving five years ago. So they had to face the pain, this time together and Jake also had to face the truth that he could have spared them the pain of separation if he was just ready to admit his feelings. This is a second chance love story, written with such emotion and also with some twists not expected. I love the series and the characters we meet up with again in each book. I absolutely loved this book and was honored to have been able to read and review. It was such a phenomenal read and had amazing characters as well as an amazing story line. I just could not get enough of it and once I started reading it I could not put it down. I recommend that you read it.
