3.5 stars ... When the story picks up, we find Nova dealing with the fallout from her last encounter with Rock. But contending with Ronin’s no easy matter either. And, it seems he has his own agenda for being in Vegas. But does it also truly include marriage to her? ... Nova was all over the place in this story. Struggling to stay ahead in a game that she didn’t even realize she was a player in, she came off as naïve and out of her depth attempting to out maneuver both Ronin and her father. Consequently, she made bad decisions – or no decisions at all, while dismissing Rock’s warnings regarding the danger she was facing. Instead, she seemed more concerned with launching her latest couture collection and maintaining the public image of her brand. ... The story has plenty of drama and angst, some violence, duplicity, suspense and secrets along with several explicit encounters. ...
