Abstract: Simple, low-cost menus and recipes are presented to help consumers improve their diets and get better nutrition by wisely using their dollars and food stamps. Dietary consumption goals of less fat, sugar, cholesterol, and salt intakes are incorporated into the breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snack suggestions; a special section of low-calorie meals lists serving sizes and caloric contents of the foods included. Drawings are used to illustrate both new and traditional recipe ideas. (cj).
