About this ebook

Embark on a journey into the lives of the four Herods in "Almost." Three of them relentlessly pursued the Messiah or His Church for the wrong reasons. Yet, our focus eventually shifts to the last Herod, who is now pursued by the Messiah, driven by all the right reasons.

These pages explore the significance of King Agrippa's response to Paul. This response compels us to reflect on our missed opportunities. In the second part of this book, we explore stories of individuals who could have had different lives only in some cases to fall short. They represent the "almosts" of history, reminding us of the missed opportunities that haunt the human experience.

But the purpose of this book extends beyond mere examination. It beckons us to turn our gaze inward, scrutinize our lives, and refuse to settle for an existence characterized by "almost." No, we are called to pursue something far greater—a life where we make our calling and election sure.

Join us on this exploration as we learn from the past and passionately pursue a future where we make our calling and election irrevocably secure.

About the author

I didn't realize the impact of my mom always having a pen and paper to write her thoughts would have on our family until after she passed away. She raised eight writers without pressuring any of us to write. Although I declared that I would never be that person who wrote all the time, just like my mother, it happened. I don't know when it happened, but I am grateful.

My name is Ebony, and I am a writer. It sounds like I'm about to introduce myself as an addict. I am, not that I roam the street looking for substances to fill a void, but I have this desire to write that I cannot avoid; If I were to hold it in, I fear it would be like fire. Inspiration running through my mind, and then I have this duty to write my wrongs out for all to see - full transparency. I aim to create content that stimulates the mind, inspiring you to flow as you grow until you can eventually sow into the life of another.

Not only am I an author and artist, but I am also a ghostwriter and writing coach who formerly taught storytelling to youth in Baltimore City.

"If creative writing were contagious, I'd aim to infect everyone I come in contact with; Education = Duplication."

In 2013, I started working to help youth in Baltimore City set goals for their future. In an environment where many feel hopeless, I aim to help someone believe that better days are coming for them. I also helped writers of all ages to become published authors. After teaching for some time, I've learned that the lack of experience is not the only thing that holds individuals back from becoming authors.

In the past, I became stagnant because of discouragement. 'What if' I let it stop me? Many would not be authors today. This 'what if' drives me to help individuals set goals for their future and tell their stories. Some only need a push in the right direction some encouragement along the way, and then some require you to hold their hand and walk them through the process.

During the Pandemic, I started Faith2Faith Christian Bookstore, an online Christian bookstore. We also work with authors to help them begin their author business journey. Our mantra is, "We write like our readers' lives depend on it because it does." With the world headed in the way it is, someone must be willing to stand for what is right. I join the growing number of individuals, unapologetically crying unto the Lord, "Hear am I, use me."
