The old house stood at the edge of town, shrouded in a thick, eerie fog that seemed to linger around it at all times. "I thought you were the bravest of us all, Sophie," Ben teased, though his own bravado masked a growing sense of unease.

"I am brave, but this place gives me the creeps," Sophie replied, her eyes scanning the dilapidated structure. "I've heard stories about this place my whole life. They say it's haunted."
