I am absolutely in love with the way that Edgar Rice Burroughs write. He manages to maintain a level of excitement and action even if the most calm of moments in his stories. There is romance in a way that it doesn't feel "mushy" and every aspect of his characters' lives is a battle of some sort. This collection is amazing and well worth the small investment!

One of the greatest story tellers ever! The common thread is real man vs male. His heroes exhibit chivalry, respect, honor, integrity, and bravery. At the same time, they have human emotions and egos. Although best known for Tarzan, Barsoom, and Pelucidar, Burroughs also wrote about hobos, gangsters, cowboys, and Knights in not so shining armor. There isn't a bad book in the collection. Highly recommended!

(The product page incorrectly counts the pages at 3450. The book itself reports 9919 pages!) Includes many Tarzan stories not available via Project Gutenberg. The excellent table of contents makes navigation a snap. Typos are limited to 1 roughly every 100 pages (presumably mostly OCR-induced mistakes (which tend to be common in digital conversions of older works)). *Unbelievable* value even if it were 20x the price. i simply cannot praise this collection enough.
