Couldn't believe that this gem was available for free. It's the best know of many poems and books (my favorite is "Terre des Hommes") that Antoine de Saint-Exupéry had the opportunity to write before disappearing in July 1944 (his aircraft was found in 2003, sunken in the Mediterranean). The Rose in this story was inspired by the way his wife used to behave, and that explains a lot (she wrote The Tale Of The Rose, published after her death). When you finish reading this book you should watch "Der letzte Flug", a great short-film about the Luftwaffe pilot that most likely killed Saint-Exupéry.
