Well written plot with mature but wary characters who have been living with effects of betrayal and infidelity, when new relationships bring them opportunities to heal and grow and eventually forgive.

I don't normally read "romance" books, but The Island House is very well written. I enjoyed it from the very first page to the last. Very good book.
