About this ebook

From the much-buzzed-about author of THE LONELY HEARTS CLUB (already blurbed by Stephenie Meyer, Lauren Myracle, and Jen Calonita), a prom-season delight of Jane Austen proportions. It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single girl of high standing at Longbourn Academy must be in want of a prom date. After winter break, the girls at the very prestigious Longbourn Academy become obsessed with the prom. Lizzie Bennet, who attends Longbourn on a scholarship, isn't interested in designer dresses and expensive shoes, but her best friend, Jane, might be - especially now that Charles Bingley is back from a semester in London. Lizzie is happy about her friend's burgeoning romance but less than impressed by Charles's friend, Will Darcy, who's snobby and pretentious. Darcy doesn't seem to like Lizzie either, but she assumes it's because her family doesn't have money. Clearly, Will Darcy is a pompous jerk - so why does Lizzie find herself drawn to him anyway?

This book is an abomination and should never have been published. The author took something wonderful and beautiful and twisted it into a shape so hideous that I cannot tell what it is anymore. Being deeply in love with Jane Austen's "Pride and Prejudice," I was horrified when I first heard tell of this book. Jane Austen herself would be horrified and appalled at seeing even the title. People say it is clever and funny... they are sorely missing out on what I believe is among the greatest romances ever written; in other words, they are sorely misled. The author deserves no praise whatsoever, only scorn and hatred for doing what she did in committing this horrendous literary crime.

I LOVED this book. It was really good and I honestly loved the characters. I loved how she used the named from the real Pride and Prejudice . Anyways the book is good for teen girls. And it really has a good moral because I do the exact same thing. I live Darcy and he is so nice. I love Lizzies character too. She is witty and judges too quickly. Like me. Anyways wonderful book. I loved it.
