Elizabeth Gilpatrick is incredibly clever and there are many children friendly, educationally sound songs and rhymes in this book. Recently, my students performed, "The Waking of Brother John" for their families. It was a big hit with parents and students and I was able to teach many age-appropriate music concepts with her songs. We've also done, "The So-La-Mi Boogie," "Was It You Mister Music?," and many more from this book. An elementary music must have!
