As a Love Inspired Suspense series, you don't have to be concerned about graphic anything - this is a clean read. The story takes place over just a few days and involves several scenes of peril that understandably are suspenseful. But being a Love Inspired Suspense you can be assured of a satisfying conclusion. Overall I would highly recommend this book to those who like suspense and romance with no blushing involved. Get ready to be strapped in for a roller coaster ride! From the first chapter to the last, Beck and Katelyn are constantly on the run! They are neighbors but as soon as they figure out that Beck's deceased wife was murdered, not accidentally killed, they don't know who is after them. However, when they figure it out, it is a race to stay one step ahead of the assassins! Beck has a darling son, Ollie, who makes an appearance now and then and I would have liked to see more of him but really, Beck was doing all he could to keep him out of the way of these crazy men after them! It was a wonder how they stayed alive! My only "negative" comment is that Beck was a little too bossy in my opinion. Katelyn was a trained private investigator and ex-cop. She knew her stuff and yet Beck seemed to tell her what to do a lot or lead the investigation when HE was the one who hired her! It would have been a lot better if she were more forceful and if he would have listened to her more but I enjoyed the story and the action was non-stop so I had a very hard time put the book down! Can't wait for the next one!

We start with a burglary, then attempted murder, accidents, fire, shootouts and kidnapping - by now I am suspecting everyone, even Beck, who hired her! This incredible story keeps you on the edge of your seat wondering which shoe will drop next! The romantic attraction between Katelyn and Beck just adds to the tension, particularly when he disagrees with many of her more experienced decisions.
