About this ebook

Catherine has been enjoying the single life for long enough to know a good catch when she sees one. Gorgeous, charismatic, spontaneous - Lee seems almost too perfect to be true. And her friends clearly agree, as each in turn falls under his spell. But there is a darker side to Lee. His erratic, controlling and sometimes frightening behaviour means that Catherine is increasingly isolated. Driven into the darkest corner of her world, and trusting no one, she plans a meticulous escape. Four years later, struggling to overcome her demons, Catherine dares to believe she might be safe from harm. Until one phone call changes everything. This is an edgy and powerful first novel, utterly convincing in its portrayal of obsession, and a tour de force of suspense.

I loved the way the booked jumped between years giving you a picture of who Catherine was before and after. I believe altho some readers might have trouble understanding the repetiveness that it shows a real view into the life of someone with PTSD and OCD. I could relate to this book on a very personal level having suffered through a simular trauma. I admire and am inspired by the leading lady as she tries to over come all the obstacles and become strong in a way she did not seem possible! Inspiring!

Into The Darkest Corner was recommended to me and its quite frankly one of the best books I've ever read!! Its a scary story where the two storylines of a girl run parallel together, one from the before and one from after a terrible event, which together reach a final shocking conclusion. Cannot recommend this book enough, you will not want to put it down! Thank you Elizabeth Haynes.

This is so gripping and tense, the writing is powerful, unnerving and you feel instantly pulled into her world. I will be reading all she has written after this. One of those books you're desperate to get to the end of but hate not being able to still read it!
