Laila knew in her heart that marriage should be for love, not for duty. Their first public event together convinces Jabril that he made an excellent choice for a wife. She is not only stunningly beautiful, but smart and socially adept. She will be a worthy partner to rule his kingdom, and to share his bed! Her trembling response to his touch excites him, but her suggestion that they essentially live separate lives confounds and amuses him. There is no way he will allow that. The intensity of their first kiss lingers in his memory and he will not relent until he has experienced all she can give. He wants her in his bed, every night. And he will have her!

I loved the characters. I laughed and hurt for Jabril. He knew of his love first. A wonderful read! Excellent storytelling!

Excellent book, well written , love the way this Author write, loves this book did not want to put it down. Only wish it was a bit more to they story , great ending looking forward to reading more from this Author.

The last part was really sweet. Her resistance was well-described. I just realised that I wasn't annoyed.

About the author

Although Elizabeth Lennox wanted to be a romance novelist since the eighth grade, that dream only became a (paid) reality for her in 2010 and a full time job in 2012! Along the way, she received a BS in History and held different jobs in the real estate, government consulting, and financial industries.  All during that time, though, she was always writing.  To date, she has published over fifty romances (and counting), using her personal experiences, dreams, and travels throughout the United States, Europe and the Caribbean as backdrops for her stories.  

She lives in Virginia with her husband and two children.  They are just outside of Washington, D.C. and many of her novels are set in this area too.
