About this ebook

An opposites attract, meet cute, confirmed bachelorette, hot handyman, laugh out loud, romcom from award-winning Elizabeth SaFleur.

Super independent Eve can juggle work, school and a fixer-upper house just fine with a little help from YouTube. Well, she could, if her beloved cat, Thor, would stop getting into trouble—like getting stuck behind the walls. Thankfully, plumbers make house calls at ridiculous-o’clock in the morning.

Enter hot handyman Brent who not only has all the power tools she needs, he looks like the God Thor. A mountain of muscle with movie-star hair, shining green eyes, and a perfectly scruffed, chiseled jaw. Just great. This confirmed bachelorette doesn’t have time for all the lusty neediness rising where it should not be rising.

Eve reminds herself and her weakening knees that she’s a strong, independent woman determined to make it without anyone’s help. But as more renovation and cat-astrophes pile on, she finds her fingers doing the walking to call Brent to her rescue.

She has to decide if keeping Brent at arm’s length fits her life plan, or if it’s the biggest miscalculation she’s ever made.

It doesn’t help Thor seems to be in cahoots with Brent when it comes to setting up steamy romantic moments between them.

Oof! This pair bring the drama and the angst. Both Eve and Brent are pretty set in their ways. And, while some of that makes them very compatible, it also makes them clash when some of their unresolved relationship baggage escapes the locked doors holding it back. Those were the times I despaired of these two ever getting it right. I really appreciated the happy ending they get: they both support one another’s dreams and they both have to work on things to make their relationship the best it can be. Knowing that Scarlett is up next, I’m dying to get my hands on that next book. I received a complimentary copy of this book through Booksprout.

Elizabeth SaFleur is a fairly new author to me but every book I have picked up I have enjoyed so that means I need to check out her previous works as soon as time permits. If you are looking for an entertaining, fun read look no further than Eve and Brent’s story, Eve is renovating her home but she is also juggling many other things so when her cat Thor get stuck behind the wall she is renovating it brings her to the end of her tether. But then Brett the plumber comes to the rescue and that’s when the fun and games begin….. This book has plenty going for it, it’s a wonderful read to escape with, it has wonderful characters and it has the perfect mix of love, passion and humour. A funny, entertaining read that I highly recommend.
