A perfect mix of angst, humor, and romance, DJ Hot Pants by Ember-Raine Winters is a great read! It is the perfect book when you want something light and fun but just as angsty. Courtney is an accident prone author, with a love for late night radio. When she first hears the voice of the new DJ hosting the late night show, she immediately falls in love. After a little cyberstalking, she realizes he is as hot as he sounds. While on a run for beer, she trips and falls right into Brice, DJ Hot Pants. What seemed like the most embarrassing moment of her life, turned out to be the perfect opportunity. Courtney was her own worst enemy, she had been burnt before and assumed she’d always be an embarrassment. But Brice was determined to show her that she was more than her clumsiness. Brice is the new DJ for a popular late night radio show. On his first night he gets a call from a voice that captivates him, after forgetting to air her request she calls back a couple more times and there is an easy banter between the two. His interest is spiked, to his luck or bad luck, the girl with the captivating voice happens to ram right into him. Not being able to get her out of his mind, he decides she is worth pursuing. But things don't come easy for them, after a tragedy strikes Brice’s family he decides maybe staying away from Courtney is what is best. That is until Courtney’s life is being threatened. This book had drama, excitement, and laughter, in other words it was a great read! It will keep you turning the pages.
