First of all, that ending was a big fat dose of 'thanks I hate it'. I was left hanging and terrified and shook, so thanks for that. Other than that A++ love seeing Catalina's development, and revisiting the rest of the fam, and the ship with Alessandro is truly fire. Edit: I read The Cool Aunt and now I can rest easy for the next year+ until the next book releases, thank you~

Urban fantasy (with romance in it) in an alternate world with a magic-based social power system. Ongoing series, but stands on its own pretty well. New release! I love the authors, I love the series, I love the book. Love seeing characters find their way in the world and become badasses, and the romantic tension is great. Also incl. cosmic horror and grue and loads of action and loving family dynamics.

As much as I have enjoyed this series, this is my favorite. There are fun heroes ,fun villains, and especially fun adventures. But we mustn't forget the true love story. Can't wait for more books.

About the author

“Ilona Andrews” is the pseudonym for a husband-and-wife writing team. Ilona is a native-born Russian, and Gordon is a former communications sergeant in the U.S. Army.
