This volume presents current research and practices in the field of Easy Language and accessible communication. The publication of this volume was inspired by two international events, namely the International Easy Language Day Conference (IELD), and the panel The Social Role of Language: Translation into Easy and Plain Languages at the IATIS conference. By bringing together findings from different corpus-driven, cognitive and automation approaches in accessible communication research and providing insights into current projects of the emerging field of accessible health communication, the volume captures the dynamic and rapidly evolving nature of the field.

作者简介

Silvana Deilen hat Mehrsprachige Kommunikation und Fachübersetzen studiert und an der Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz promoviert. Sie lehrt und forscht am Fachbereich Translations-, Sprach- und Kulturwissenschaft in Germersheim sowie am Institut für Translation und Mehrsprachige Kommunikation der TH Köln. Ihre Interessen liegen in der Translationswissenschaft und der Angewandten Linguistik, insbesondere in der Barrierefreien Kommunikation.

Silvia Hansen-Schirra ist Professorin für Englische Sprach- und Übersetzungswissenschaft am Fachbereich Translations-, Sprach- und Kulturwissenschaft (FTSK) der Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz in Germersheim.

Sergio Hernández Garrido ist Mitarbeitor an der Universität Hildesheim. Er ist Teil des Forschungsteams „Barrierefreie Medizinkommunikation“ und arbeitet in der Forschungsstelle Leichte Sprache.

Christiane Maaß, Universität Hildesheim, ist Professorin für Medienlinguistik am Institut für Übersetzungswissenschaft und Fachkommunikation sowie Leiterin der Forschungsstelle Leichte Sprache.
