Ratings and reviews

The book starts promisingly and the character introductions are well done, but there's not much more after that. Unlike her "something" books, she fails to develop her characters, including the one relationship that this entire book is based on. Due to it, it was difficult to believe the lead character's actions along with that of her significant other. Even if forced to believe it, the premise gets old quickly. I'm all for a character changing her mind, but this sloppy story doesn't do that topic justice.

I have read all of Emily Giffin's books within 4 days of purchase. She's an amazing writer and brings you to love and endure each characters struggles. Keep writing please!!

I feel like the character never grew. She stayed being her same selfish self. An improvement would have been to change her choice out of her love for her husband.

After practicing litigation at a Manhattan firm for several years, she moved to London to write full time.
