Baroness Emma Magdolna Rozália Mária Jozefa Borbála "Emmuska" Orczy de Orczi (23 September 1865 - 12 November 1947) was a Hungarian-born British novelist, playwright and artist of noble origin. She is most known for her series of novels featuring the Scarlet Pimpernel. This is one of her novels.

I'd say that this book is nearly as good as the original Scarlet Pimpernel. Margurite is not in it at all, though, and Chauvelin is hardly. However, Percy and the rest of the league are described admirably well and the genius of Percy's schemes is described with detail. I highly recomend this book for anyone who enjoyed the first one.

I enjoyed the first book a lot and this was continued the thrilling adventure of the Scarlet Pimpernel.
