Charles Exbrayat (1906-1989) est une figure emblématique du roman policier français. Il a écrit plus de cent romans dont certains ont été adaptés au cinéma et à la télévision, notamment la série Imogène. Exbrayat fut également journaliste et scénariste. Il a obtenu le Grand Prix du roman d’aventures en 1958 avec Vous souvenez-vous de Paco ?
