Gary Hess holds a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the University of Illinois at Champagne/Urbana. Dr. Hess is a research member of the technical staff in the land-mobile products sector of Motorola, Inc. He is the author of Land-Mobile Radio System Engineering, also published by Artech House.
