About this ebook

A teenage girl faces her evil nemesis in the Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland-inspired trilogy that “should sweep readers down the rabbit hole” (Publishers Weekly).

After surviving a disastrous battle at prom, Alyssa has embraced her madness and gained perspective. She’s determined to rescue her two worlds and the people and netherlings she loves. Even if it means challenging Queen Red to a final battle of wills and wiles . . . and even if the only way to Wonderland, now that the rabbit hole is closed, is through the looking-glass world—a parallel dimension filled with mutated and violent netherling outcasts.

In the final installment of the wildly popular Splintered trilogy, Alyssa and her dad journey into the heart of magic and mayhem in search of her mom and to set right all that’s gone wrong. Together with Jeb and Morpheus, they must salvage Wonderland from the decay and destruction that has ensnared it. But if they succeed and come out alive, can everyone truly have their happily ever after?

Praise for the Splintered trilogy

“Alyssa is one of the most unique protagonists I’ve come across in a while. Splintered is dark, twisted, entirely riveting, and a truly romantic tale.” —USA Today

“Brilliant, because it is ambitious, inventive, and often surprising.” —The Boston Globe

“A dark beauty fills the novel’s pages, which will mesmerize teens with a taste for magic, romance or suspense. Unhinged lays the groundwork for a third book where anything could happen—it is Wonderland, after all.” —Shelf Awareness

Ensnared is the third book in the splintered series and the final installment. Alyssa finds herself returning to Wonderland to ensure the safety of all those she cares about in her world. She needs to get Jeb and Morpheus back and finally deal with Red. She makes her journey to wonderland with her father, which allows the author to focus on a lot of his back story. I didn’t see the twists coming! As is true with those before it, this finale will keep you at the edge of your seat. Great ending!!

I love this book and the whole series. Sad that its ended really hope the author can make more series based on the splintered series but based in wonderland and i hope they will be longer and be more than 3 books because it's really one of my favourite books I had to finish it asap and couldn't stop reading. I love the characters and how well thought out the stories are. The ending of the book was great and I couldn't have asked for a better ending. My favourite parts would be Morpheus' teasing and flirting with Alyssa. Really can't wait for more stories linked to this trilogy, im sure it would be another amazing adventure!

Wraps up the series pretty well, i remember a few unforeseen twists so it was worth the read! after some more thought though, I wonder how long Alyssa and her mother live? the story focused a lot on her second fae life lasting forever but we know Red's parents pass. it's never said that netherlings don't die of old age. since Alyssa's half human does her soul go to the garden or wherever humans souls go? her mother surely didn't pass by the time Alyssa became old as well, seeing as how she's even less diluted. also the story made a point of her being half fae when she's actually about 1/32 fae? i think that's the legal limit for being able to claim minority status, but maybe not even then. and also we never figured out what was going on with Allison's mom? like Morpheus was awake and meddling for her generation but he claims to never have met her and no one heard the nethercall, so why did she jump out the window thinking she had wings? lol no one cares about the gma!

About the author

A. G. Howard wrote Splintered while working at a school library. She always wondered what would’ve happened had the subtle creepiness of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland taken center stage, and she hopes her darker and funkier tribute to Carroll will inspire readers to seek out the stories that won her heart as a child. She lives in Amarillo, Texas.
