About this ebook

He's her best friend.

A reformed bad boy turned hot teacher.

And after one spur-of-the-moment Vegas wedding... her husband.

Jordan Benoit and Fletcher Landry have been best friends since they were six. He's always been The Guy. When she needed picked up, cheered up, or lifted up--like literally, to see the stage at a concert--Fletcher was the guy.

So when her boyfriend dumps her--on national TV--Fletcher immediately gets on a plane and comes to her rescue.

And when she ends up in a Vegas wedding chapel and needs someone to say, "I do"...yep, Fletcher's the guy. Of course.

But being The Guy 24/7 is a lot. He just wants everyone to give him a freaking minute to get this marriage thing right. Including his sexy, sweet new wife who he's wanted for three years. Who is exasperatingly, temptingly all-in from minute one.

Jordan knows what she wants. A life in her hometown. A job with alpacas. And Fletcher. Not necessarily in that order.

They've said the vows. They'd told the world. They've told their grandmas. Forget taking things slow. Forget just heavy petting. Forget any chance of backing out when things get tough. They're going to have to go all the way, in every way.

After all, friends becoming lovers should be the easiest thing in the world. Right?

I have always loved to read. Years ago, when I dusted off my Kindle and started to read every day, Erin Nicholas was one if the first authors I binge read. I love her writing and she'll always be an author whose books releases I mark on my calendar and eagerly await. Heavy Petting is Nicholas' next book in her new Boys of the Bayou Gone Wild series. The book can be read as a stand alone story but do yourself a favor and go back and read her earlier titles. Characters from earlier series walk through other books. Fletcher Landry has always been a bad boy, but not too bad. He and the other kids in the Landry family grew up together on the bayou and always got up into mischief. Fletcher has reformed his ways and is now a third grade teacher. A hot third grade teacher. Jordan is a sweetheart. She grew up on the bayou and became best friends with Fletcher early in grade school. Fletcher has always been there for her as a best friend and protector. They talk nearly every day. Jordan became a teacher as well. But when her boyfriend, an up and coming country singer, wants to move to Nashville, Jordan leaves the bayou and goes with him. When that boyfriend botches a marraige proposal on national tv by calling her another woman's name, Fletcher takes off to Las Vegas to be there for Jordan. Several years ago, Fletcher's feelings for Jordan started to change. When Jordan's life falls apart, Fletcher is there to pick up the pieces but he is done hiding how he really feels. When they wind up in a wedding chapel and say I do, Fletcher realizes that now he's not just protector and fixer, he's the 24/7 guy and he needs to get this right. Jordan just wants to go back home to the bayou, work with the alpacas at the Landry's educational petting zoo and be with Fletcher. Don't forget their very involved families. Heavy Petting is great story. There's family, love, hot swexy times and animals. We can't forget the animals. It's definitely a book you don't want to miss.

HEAVY PETTING is the second instalment in Erin Nicholas’ contemporary, adult BOYS OF THE BAYOU GONE WILD erotic, romance series, a spin off from the author’s BOYS OF THE BAYOU series. This is elementary school teacher Fletcher Landry, and science teacher/educator Jordan Benoit’s story line. HEAVY PETTING can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story line or series is revealed where necessary. Told from dual third person perspectives (Jordan and Fletcher) HEAVY PETTING follows in the aftermath of the televised breakup of Jordan Benoit, and her long time boyfriend, up and coming music star Jason Young. Since the age of fifteen Jordan and Jason have been an item but Jason’s star is on the rise, and when the opportunity to go to Nashville presented itself, Jordan didn’t hesitate to to support the man with whom she was in love but not everyone was happy with Jordan’s decision leave the Louisiana Bayou, and Fletcher Landry made his opposition known that he didn’t want to lose his best friend to a touring star. An ill-time, on air, televised Las Vegas proposal spiralled out of control, leaving a humiliated Jordan in its’ wake. Refusing to stand by and watch the woman he has always loved fall from grace, Fletcher heads to Vegas, and returns home a married man, with Jordan on his arm. What ensues is the best friends to spouses relationship between Jordan and Fletcher, and the potential fall-out as Fletcher begins to reconsider his need to always rescue our story line heroine, believing he has missed out on everything in between. Fletcher Landry has loved, and been in love with his best friend Jordan most of his life but watched from the sidelines as our heroine fell in love with someone else. No amount of pleading could persuade Jordan to stay behind when Jason headed towards fortune and fame, but life on the road proved to be more than Jordan could have ever imagined. Jordan Benoit thought she found the one in Jason Young but never expected to become the target of both sympathy and vitriol in the wake of Jason’s televised proposal that went all to h*ll. Fletcher’s arrival in Vegas proved that Fletcher was the man who understood our heroine, the most, but always arriving at the ‘end’ meant Fletcher missed everything leading up to the big reveal. The relationship between Jordan and Fletcher is a best friends to spouses. Fletcher knew that Jordan was the only woman he would ever love but a spontaneous Vegas wedding was a little bit more than he had bargained. Struggling with what was, and what had never been, Fletcher battled between head and heart wondering if he ever really knew the woman he loved. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and intense, without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text. Several of the previous story line and series characters cross over for cohesion and familiarity. Fletcher’s brothers Zeke and Zander figure prominently in Jordan’s return to the Bayou, as does the petting zoo where our heroine initiates an education centre for children in need. HEAVY PETTING is a story of friendships and relationships, second chances (of a sort) and love. The character driven premise is entertaining and captivating ; the characters are fun and flirty; the romance is passionate and steamy.

I love being back with the Landry family and I was excited to read Jordan Benoit and Fletcher Landry’s friends to lovers story. This is a story with all the feels and it will appeal to a wide range of audiences, it’s a captivating story with some very funny laugh out moments. Jordan and Fletcher have been best friends since they were 6 years old, they always had each others backs so when Jordan is publicly humiliated by her ex boyfriend, Fletcher jumps on a plane to come to her rescue. What’s starts as a friend coming to her rescue ends up with a marriage certificate in their hands so what happens from here, do they pursue a future as husband and wife or do they end up just best friends..... This couple are easy to love and it’s a wonderful journey watching them their friendship go to a passionate love story. As you would expect from this author there is plenty to make you laugh, make you giggle but more importantly make you love everything about this perfect addition to the Boys of Bayou Gone Wild Series. This is a captivating read and I highly recommend to all romance lovers.
