About this ebook

Broody wildlife veterinarian Griffin Foster is done. Done trying to save the world. Done getting attached. He’s been fired twice for standing his ground and now he’s going to be content--by God--in small-town Louisiana, in a small veterinary practice, where there will only be small problems.

Quiet and boring, though? Um, no. He’s been adopted by a loud, crazy Cajun family with a tiny petting zoo for him to care for. Hey, it’s not endangered tigers at a nationally renowned zoo, but a family of otters--and all the gumbo he can eat--isn’t a bad deal.

Until she shows up. Again.

The sunny, gorgeous optimist who stole his heart--and his favorite shirt--two months ago. Who clearly hasn’t heard the word “no” enough in her life. And who is the first woman to put even a tiny crack in his don’t-get-attached wall.

Charlotte “Charlie” Landry is the new marketing consultant for the family swamp-boat tour company and petting zoo. It might not have been her plan, but she is all in, ready to grow the business. Whether the hot, grumpy vet likes it or not.

He doesn’t.

Worse, sparring with his unforgettable one-night stand is more fun than he’s had in a long time.

But watching wears-designer-dresses Charlie find her dream job amongst a bunch of goats, alpacas, and otters is a surprise.

And her helping him find his passion again is...well, irresistible.

Dammit.

I adore everything about Griffin and his stalker, over protected animals. Or should I say Sugar and her crew of odd balls that go everywhere together. LOL My love grew for this grumpy man through out the book. I don't think anyone else would have made a better match then Charlie. She is just the right amount of class and sass. Her heart is Landry through and through. She has all that Cajon love you love in all the other people we have meet in the other books. If I would pick my favorite girl from the group she has moved to the top of my list. In this book we see that Griffin is trying to be happy with simple. He has everything he thinks he needs. He has animals he cares about. Some very close otters and A small petting zoo. He didn't think he was missing anything. Then along came Charlie to "help" the family with marketing of the Boys of the Bayou Gone Wild and to assist Griffin with his practice while Tori tries to work less hours as her pregnancy starts to progress. We not going to even talk about attraction. Nope, or one night stands that leave them wanting more. Not going to say anything about the new animals they add and how much Charlie puts into her job. She is a firecracker for sure. I am going to say they are hot and steamy. They have a love connection I really enjoyed watching grow. I had all the feelings for this book. My heart even broke a few times. When reading this book I felt like I was inside the story. I couldn't put it down. I was afraid something would happen while I was gone. This is a book you must pick up and read. Then go back and read all the other books this author has written. Your going to want to not miss out on any of them.

This is the first book in the Boys of the Bayou Gone Wild but by no means is this the first in this series LOL. If you are familiar with author Erin Nicholas' series Boys of the Bayou and Boys of the Big Easy (where this all started) you will know this family and these men are simply nothing short of AMAZING! There is just something about that New Orlean's drawl that has my panties wet ready. Well, this book is all about a grumpy vet as Wildlife VET Griffin Foster who loves to sweet talk goats and otters as well as a pretty gal named Charlie Landry. Oh, he tries to hide his sweet side but it comes out when anyways and when folks find out well let's just say Sugar makes sure everyone knows Griff can't help by sweet talk a goat or maybe help a pig when there's a storm brewing. We get to reconnect with characters from books in the past series and we get to meet some new folks too. But most of all some of the cutest critters you will ever imagine. This book was SO what we needed at this time in our lives! I am looking forward to the next book in this series! I have to tell you I am so ready for covid to be over to go look for THE REAL LIFE Boys of the Bayou and hope to goodness they have read Mrs. Nicholas' book and added a Gone Wild section to their base.

OTTERLY IRRESISTIBLE is the first instalment in Erin Nicholas’ contemporary, adult BOYS OF THE BAYOU GONE WILD, erotic, romance series-a spin off from the author’s BOYS OF THE BAYOU. This is thirty year old, veterinarian Dr. Griffin Foster, and marketing consultant Charlotte ‘Charlie’ Landry’s story line. You do not have to have read the previous series to understand or follow but for back story and cohesion, I recommend reading for your enjoyment. Several characters cross over for familiarity. Griffin was first introduced in the Boys of the Bayou series. Told from dual third perspectives (Charlie and Griffin) OTTERLY IRRESISTIBLE follows the building romance and relationship between thirty year old, veterinarian Dr. Griffin Foster, and marketing consultant Charlotte ‘Charlie’ Landry. Two months earlier Griffin and Charlie spent an almost one-night stand together but Charlie was heading to Paris, and Griffin never stopped thinking about what might have been. Fast forward to present day wherein Charlie, having been fired from her job in Paris, has returned to Autre, Louisiana as the new receptionist and marketing agent for Griffin’s clinic, a return Griffin knew nothing about. With Charlie’s ability to market just about anything and everything, our heroine goes into overdrive in an effort to raise money for the otter enclosures coming up with a series of ideas and plans to open a ‘zoo’ to bring in more tourists and fun but Griffin struggles with Charlie’s over the top zealous attitude, preferring to remain behind the scenes, fearing the woman with whom he is falling in love with leave in a few months time. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Charlie and Griffin, and the potential fall-out as a mutual loss finds Charlie out of her element, wondering if she will ever fit in. Griffin Foster prefers animals to humans, and meeting Charlie Landry doesn’t change his mind about his relationship preferences. A one-night stand kind of guy, Griffin struggles with his feelings for our story line heroine, a woman who is determined to prove he is worthy of his own happily ever after-with her. Charlie Landry is a bubbly, over-zealous, friend to everyone, and in this Griffin battles between head and heart knowing Charlie may only be in town for a very short time. As Charlie begins to plan the expansion of the Boys of the Bayou Gone Wild animal park, Griffin has some ideas of his own. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text. There is a large ensemble cast of colorful and familiar secondary and supporting characters many of whom we have met in the previous series. The back and forth camaraderie between the Landry sibling and cousins is furious and fun. OTTERLY IRRESISTIBLE is a heart warming and animated story line. The characters are flirty and spirited; the romance is intoxicating and intimate. A wonderful start to a new series.
