Alex Sawyer has escaped his underground nightmare to discover the whole world has become a prison, and Alfred Furnace is its master. ALEXANDER GORDON SMITH lives in Norwich, England. He is a co-founder of Fear Driven Films, which is currently producing its first feature film. The Escape from Furnace series marks his publishing debut in the United States. Mr. Smith is currently at work on his next book, The Fury, which Farrar Straus Giroux will publish in the fall of 2013.
