About the author

A typewriter and a telephone were all that Estelle Craig needed to create a lifetime of fun. Born in Massachusetts, and raised in New York City, she has traveled the world more than once. As a young mother, she founded World Adventure Tours, in Toronto, Canada, a celebrity-hosted stage production company featuring travel and adventure films. In addition to running World Adventure Tours for 41 years, writing a newspaper column, and radio show, among many projects, she has authored nine plays, five books, and published magazines for both adults and children. Now at 102, the adventures she found in visiting foreign countries, she discovers in her imagination and the stories that she tells. In 2016, she published The Pelicans of Palm Beach for children. This is her second children’s book. The Estelle Craig Act 2 Studio at Ryerson University has been named in her honour. Estelle currently divides her time between Palm Beach, Florida and Toronto, Canada, where she writes and enjoys her three children, seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
