Nice read! I like these two, both had killer tendencies, but also have this insane chemistry that is off the charts. They're perfectly well matched, well done author Esther E Schmidt.

This book was so not what I expected. Sllik is part of a war that was started because of a perceived threat and a setup. He's on a quest for revenge when he's faced with Livia, a woman who walks right into his territory to exact her own revenge. Instead, Sllik takes things into his own hands, and from there it is a spiral of trying to figure out another mess. Chaos ensues because that's what seems to happen in both of their lives. Love, loss, and priorities all change for them both. I was fascinated by the whole story! The way that Sliik handles that bat, holy moly! I can see why it's his chosen weapon! Why is it so insanely hot too? I loved these two characters so much. Their union is unconventional, but there's a lot to it. They're fighting for more than just their need for truth. This was the absolute best book to be leadoff for Silver Rain MC! The two books combined make for a hell of a story. There's suspense, revenge, spice, and the perfect amount of unexpected. This for me was another winner. Its one of the best she's written to date.
