Looks-like a terrific book from the excerpt on Google books. I've read other works by this author, and he never disappoints. You might not always agree with how he relates some of these philosophers of consciousness together in general themes, but his professional ability at least makes for an excellent survey of some of our planet's most important thinkers, and his ideas are not-to-be-ignored in any case.
