Texas Forged by Eve Gaddy, book one in her Texas True series had me returning to Whiskey River, Texas for Chantel and Gabe’s enjoyable story. World famous metal artist, Gabe Walker is stunned when the woman he’s loved since high school walks into his workshop to ask him for a date. Except, it’s with another woman; a woman he already had a bad date with. Now if it was with Chantel, he would have no trouble saying yes. He couldn’t act on his feelings in high school since she was dating his best friend. Chantel is gun shy about dating after two awful and failed relationships. She only just returned to Texas, determined to pick up the pieces of her life and help her sister with her boutique. As Chantel and Gabe rebuild their friendship they realize the sizzling chemistry and major attraction building between them, intensifying into an extremely hot affair. When unexpected consequences occur from their affection, Gabe is all in, ready to spend his life loving Chantel. However, she isn’t there yet; wanting to be loved for herself, not because of the situation. Gabe will have to convince Chantel that she can trust him and his love for her; despite being let down by other men in her life. After all, they weren’t Gabe. Ms Gaddy wrote a wonderfully, sizzling and emotional story that is definitely not to be missed. She provided a tale rich with off the charts, sizzling chemistry, intense emotions, and charming secondary characters giving Chantel and Gabe a path to receive the love and future they desire. I highly recommend Texas Forged to other readers. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

When you get too close to fire, you run the risk of getting burned. When you get too close to a person, you open yourself up to either pain or joy - or a combination of both. Gabe and Chantal have lives with baggage that so stuffed, it’s ready to burst. Gabe is overly careful and is singularly focused, as shows in his artwork. But of the two, it is Chantal that has been more severely burned in her past. So severely that she runs the other way rather than face problems or the pain. The author has created full characters and even the minor characters are strong. There is a happy ending but you wonder most of the book how and if it can possibly happen. I received an advanced reader copy for free from the publisher and am voluntarily leaving my review.

This book is amazingly good! First off let me say this book's cover is stunning alone all by itself! Frame worthy Cowboy Artist DQ Hot! Okay, now that I have swooned over the cover art I have I can pant over Gabe and Chantel's story. For so long I have waited for one of the Tule authors to give the readers the story of Gabe the amazing but reclusive ironwork artist that has popped in and out of many of the books in the past. Let me say it was so worth the wait to get this story and more This begins the Texas True series so we know we will be getting more of the brothers and yes I am hoping Chantel's sister as well. But for now, let's talk about this couple. Oh, My word Gabe has carried a torch for Chantel, pun intended since he was 16 years old. So you know how hot this book burns. Now Chantel on the other hand has been burned in the past in two relationships, so she is a wee bit shy but looking at the cover of this book you know Gabe draws her in from the start. Between Gabe's brothers and an ex who show up who show at all the wrong times, life is not dull at all. I am looking forward to more from the Texas True series in Whiskey River, Texas!
