This was a romp, a fun, twisty, mad-capped romp, and I grinned, or fanned myself, through it all! We start with our smart-mouthed heroine giving her captors, er, protectors, a hard time. She wants them to give her a hard time, but they aren't biting with what's she is offering. This sets the stage for their courtship, she wants them, they resist her, except when they don't, and then nobody can figure out what is going on One thing they can all agree on, and everybody else in the book agrees on, is that Brenda dives straight into trouble. Always, anywhere, anytime, and in the most safe and innocuous situations, she will find and dive into trouble. Mike, Dale, and Sebastian are forever tracking her down, and trying to keep her safe. Sexy times are sprinkled around in the book, but once it happens, boy, it happens in a big way. In the end, the boys learn to share, and Brenda finally gets all the love she has known her whole life she deserves, and that made for an even happier ever after after all!

Oh my! This book was a joy from the first page to the last. It had it all, steam, fire, magic, and a few twists that I did not see coming. I was glued until the end, then was sad it was over. Brenda with all her sass is so well written, I could have sworn I knew her in real life. Then you get the boys with all their different personalities. Love it, but did wish the book was longer with more one on one romance. Don’t get me wrong there was plenty of heat to stoke the fire, but just felt it needed to strengthen each relationship Brenda has with them. Just my opinion though. Their overall bond was strong and clear. And meemaw! Now I just want a book telling that story. Awesome read! Can’t wait for the next in the series.
