When we started homeschooling, I sat down with my seven-year-old daughter and every day we would read two to four pages together. We took our time and by the end of the book, she could do all four math operations in her head including fractions, skip counting, and volumetric measurements. I recommend this book to anyone whose younger child is starting math or whose older child struggles with math. It is a great "remedial break" to go back and strengthen the basics with this fresh approach.
