Sobre o autor

David Joseph was born In Trenton, New Jersey and raised in a small Blue Collar town on the banks of the Delaware, within a stones throw of Philadelphia. He had writing since the age of nine, after his father said he would finance his first book with a dime a page. He would write stories and his teachers often allowed him to read them, in front of the class, during classroom hours David traded in the pen for a basketball, when he thought sports might take him away from the river town, which became too small. It didn’t. At nineteen he hit the stage as a Stand up comic and toured clubs through the country. Later he attended the University of South Florida. This was where he learned to write screenplays. He caught the bug again, and aimed his eyes for Los Angeles, with visions of penning scripts and making films. That road was tougher than he though, and he experienced the dark side of LA. He moved to San Pedro, the most southern part of the city, which seemed light years away from Hollywood. It was during this time he picked up his writing again and stated creating the short stories from his past, during his off-hour, in between working on screenplays. He did this to fight off the isolation he felt in the Harbor city. He started to shoot his Independent short film, but this time he didn’t put the pen down. He kept writing and came up with his first novel, “Exodus from the River City”. His book takes the reader through his childhood in the hostile River town, to his college years in the south and then to the start of his California Adventure. It can simply be described as, “ the construction of a man: Part one”.
