About this eBook

JOHNSTONE COUNTRY. TEXAS STYLE.

Return to classic Johnstone country for this repackage of this classic western for a new generation of readers ready to rumble out in the Wild West.

Orphaned at the age of seven and adopted by the Indians, Jamie Ian MacCallister grew into a man more at ease in the wilderness than among men. But when the westward strike drove him across the Arkansas Territory into Texas, he finally found himself a home—in the middle of a bloody war.

Texans like Jim Bowie and Sam Houston were waging a fierce struggle against Santa Anna’s Mexican army, and Jamie MacCallister made the perfect scout for the fledgling volunteer force. What lay ahead of them was a place called the Alamo, thirteen days of blood, dust and courage, and a battle that would become an undying legend of the American West . . .

I happened to get this book "Eyes of Eagles" from a yard sale. As luck should have it this was the first book in the "Eagle" series. This book captivated me from the first chapter. When I got to the end of the book there was an invite to read the next book in this series. I went online to see what the cost of the book was and to see how many books were in the series. 18 in total for the series. I had to have them. Then my wife suggested to check them out for a ebook reader. I did and found they were much cheaper and more convenient, so I bought a tablet and downloaded the 17 books left to read. Now I am hooked so I will be downloading more westerns from Google Play site. Can't wait to finish this series and start on the "Mountain Man" series by William W. Johnstone. If you like reading westerns then this is a must have. cheers
