About this ebook

This instant New York Times bestselling page-turner features a cast of real and imagined literary characters, cunning intertwined plots, and stars a skeptical H.G. Wells as a time-traveling investigator in Victorian London.

Characters real and imaginary come vividly to life in this whimsical triple play of intertwined plots, in which a skeptical H. G. Wells is called upon to investigate purported incidents of time travel and to save lives and literary classics, including Dracula and The Time Machine, from being wiped from existence.

What happens if we change history?

Félix J. Palma explores this provocative question, weaving a historical fantasy as imaginative as it is exciting—a story full of love and adventure that transports readers from a haunting setting in Victorian London to a magical reality where centuries collide and a writer’s mind seems to pull at all the strings.

Overall it's a great story but if you're like me (low reading comprehension), you might need to dedicate yourself to finishing this book in less than a week. I had to go back re-read several chapters just to catch up with the story or figure out what's going on. I would have given up on this book a long time ago but I was challenged by a friend to finished this book.

Palma has the wonderful ability to keep you constantly engaged and surprised, as he circles 'round and 'round the events in the story. The characters are full and rich, making this novel a wonderful adventure. There is a technical flaw near the end that spoiled the story for me, but it doesn't detract from the appeal of this excellent book.

Unfortunately, I couldn't even get through the book...only the second book I have not been able to read. The chronology was broken, making it feel as though the author was grabbing at straws to stitch several ideas together.
