It's a fairy tale with Viking original names, and invented names for Trolls. The book is full of images, all of it blazes with actions, and it has historical and geographic references. It's a perfect combination and co-ordination between fantasy and reality. It's indicated for children 6 through 10 years of age.

Ratings and reviews

This story tells the saga of a horned mouse that gets raised by trolls before teaming up with Eric the Red to conquer Scotland and America. If that isn't enough to sell it to you I don't know what is. The illustrations are copious with depictions of the eponymous mouse meeting trolls, Disney Princess types and so forth. They drop off a bit in quantity towards the end but I did enjoy the technical section of a ship hull and I'm sure children aged 6-10 years will too.
